Instructions and Rules

Core Guidelines

  1. Clear Redundant Tabs: Before you begin, please close all other open tabs of arealme.com (including tests, games, and the homepage).
  2. Prefer Cloud Sync: If you can sign in with your own Google account, we recommend using Cloud Sync first. It is better suited for regular backup and multi-device use, and it has fewer restrictions than import/export.
  3. Data Replacement: Whether you use import/export or Cloud Sync, any restore or overwrite action can replace the data currently stored on your device. Data merging is not supported.
  4. One-Time Use: Each export file is valid for a single successful import only. The file will be rendered invalid immediately after use.
  5. Limited Validity: Export files are temporary. Please complete your import within 12 hours of generating the file.
  6. Export Cooldown: Once an exported file has been successfully imported onto a new device, the original browser must wait 24 hours before another export can be initiated.
  7. Privacy and Access: We do not store your migration or sync data. Your data remains only on your own device and in your own Google Drive. We do not have permission to view it, and we cannot recover it for you if it is overwritten or lost.
  8. Online Verification: Both import and export processes must be performed while online to allow for necessary security verification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why must I close other tabs?

Running multiple tabs simultaneously can lead to data conflicts, where the browser attempts to read or write information at the same time. This often results in corrupted exports or import errors.

Rule: Keep only one active tab open throughout the process.

Why do I need to wait for the countdown?

The countdown allows the browser sufficient time to fully stabilize and commit all data to local storage.

Rule: Do not refresh the page or click buttons repeatedly while the timer is running.

Can I use the export file multiple times?

No. To protect the integrity of game records and test scores—and to prevent unauthorized duplication or tampering—each file is restricted to a single transfer.

Is there a time limit for the export file?

Yes. For security reasons, these files are set to expire.

Rule: We recommend completing the import immediately after exporting. Do not use these files for long-term backups.

How will importing affect my current data?

A successful import will completely replace your current browser's history, scores, and settings. This action is irreversible.

Rule: Ensure you no longer need any existing data on your current device before proceeding.

Why do you recommend Cloud Sync first?

If you can sign in with your own Google account, Cloud Sync is usually more convenient than import/export. It does not depend on temporary export files, one-time file usage, or export cooldowns. For routine backup or syncing between your own devices, Cloud Sync is the recommended option.

What should I be careful about when using Cloud Sync?

Cloud Sync has fewer restrictions, but it still involves overwrite risk. Whether you choose to replace the cloud backup with local data or replace the current device with the cloud backup, make sure the side being replaced is no longer needed. If data is lost because it was overwritten, we cannot recover it for you, because we do not store your data and we do not have access to your Google Drive content.

What should I do if the import fails?

Please follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Double-check that all other arealme.com tabs are closed.
  2. Generate a fresh export file (if you recently exported, you may need to wait a few moments before the system allows another).
  3. Ensure the file remains intact and has not been renamed or manually edited.

Why do I need to be online?

While your data is stored locally in your browser, an internet connection is required for verification. This prevents the unfair distribution of "save files," which would allow users to bypass the effort required to earn high scores or specific results. We perform a quick integrity check without ever storing your personal data on our servers.

Browser Compatibility

Please use the latest version of Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox. Outdated browsers may cause the import/export functions to malfunction.
